A Few Impressions of my Days on the Riviera

I am having trouble with the internet tonight so I hope this works.

Just a few observations:
I  have always heard that the French were the ulimate in fashion. Well the woman here seem to mostly were two things- leopard in any style or item and/or white no matter what color they are wearing underneath. Stunning.
The men are not much better.  There are 2 kinds of men:  the ones that are so thin a bright light shines through them and the others who are mildly to grossly over wait. Both have shown that there is no stripe that can't be worn with a plaid and color does not make a difference-nor does size of the garment for that matter.
Another myth I would like to challenge is that the French dislike Americans and are rude to them. This bunk, they are rude to everyone. The people here are no more friendly to each other than they are to tourists. I do find that they do go out of their way to help answer questions and give directions. Just don't try to beat them to the door of the bus or the front of the line!
Thirdly, is the food. It is truly excellent. I have had 2 outstanding Provencial meals, vegetables, potatoes, salad and beef with a different sauces. Tonight was a foie gras and mushroom sauces with a little bread to dip in the sauces- Fantastic. Pastries and sandwiches in fresh bread are just great. i could get used to this- I am just not sure that my wallet could.
The last thing I want to mention is my observations about the North African population. They have not assimilated into the general population. They appear to keep to themselves with little social interaction with the French. I have not talked to anyone to reaffirm this but it is my observation.
Sorry no pictures with this post. Bedtime and San Tropez tomorrow- Gotta get that San Tropez tan!
